It’s been a cold winter so far here in Sydney, Australia. To help keep you warm (and inspired), here are my picks for guitar tutorials to try out this winter.

Hopefully my original renditions of these classic tunes will bring a bit of warmth to your day. Without further ado, here they are.

1. Here Comes the Sun – The Beatles

Let’s conjure up some warmer weather together by playing one of the world’s favourite songs, ‘Here Comes the Sun’ by The Beatles.

Originally released in 1969 on the iconic album Abbey Road, this inspiring tune is a fine example of George Harrison’s song-writing finesse.

I had an absolute ball putting the guitar rendition together, and I know you’ll have just as much fun giving it a go.

2. Somewhere Over the Rainbow – The Wizard of Oz

What a classic! Whether you’re a fan of the film or not, I bet you’re familiar with this stunning composition.

Performed by Judy Garland in The Wizard of Oz, ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’ has been covered countless times.

My unique rendition is true to the original and is sure to please audiences young and old. Don’t forget to sing along!

3. True Colours – Cyndi Lauper

Cyndi Lauper’s ‘True Colours’ is an incredibly uplifting song. So, if you’ve got the winter blues, give this one a try.

Released in 1986, this tune is one of Lauper’s best known. It spent a massive two weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, and won a Grammy for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.

I’ve transformed this tune into an acoustic arrangement, ready for you to get stuck into. Enjoy!
